Askou can't wait to see his Steelmen go on strike

MOTHERWELL manager Jens Berthel Askou is hoping for an instant impact from getting more forward-thinking players available as he seeks to add more efficiency to his team's attack.

Only Hearts and Dundee United have scored more goals in the Premiership than Motherwell, whose tally of 11 in seven games is the same as Celtic and five more than Rangers.

The goals have been increasing in volume with 10 coming after the first two matches of the league campaign, and Well will be boosted by the return of striker Callum Hendry and attacking midfielder Elijah Just when they host Falkirk today.

Askou said: “It's extremely important for any team that you are able to produce chances and to score goals. Especially for our style, we want to raise the volume of attacks and chances.

“You need efficiency as well and we've been hoping for that to grow. I think it's on the right track.
