Ardbeg House lux boutique hotel is open for business

Located on Islay stone's throw from distillery

SCOTLAND'S newest luxury hotel opens its doors to guests for the first time today as it celebrates its inexorable link to one of the world's finest whiskies.

The stunning Ardbeg House, situated on the isle of Islay just a few miles from the distillery, opens almost three decades after the distillery was saved from extinction and is testament to the dedication of those behind the remarkable turnaround.

The boutique property promises the island's visitors and community an extraordinary opportunity to eat, sleep and drink Ardbeg, while reflecting the flavours and legends of Ardbeg's island world.

Since Ardbeg was saved from going under in 1997, the whisky has become a cult malt with aficionados its following so passionate that thousands make the pilgrimage to the distillery each year.
