Anger over drug room 'no-go zone'

THE SNP have been accused of turning parts of Glasgow into “no-go zones” through the creation of a safe drugs consumption room.

The facility allows addicts to bring in cocaine or heroin and inject it in front of medical professionals. Locals in the Calton area are up in arms about a rise in needles and rubbish near the premises on Hunter Street.

But the SNP-run Glasgow City Council have dismissed the reports and said the problem of discarded needles was a pre-existing one.
