Anger at 'woke' jobs costing cops £2.7m

CASH-STRAPPED Police Scotland have been blasted over its huge spend on “woke” policing roles - while pleading with the Scottish Government for more money.

Chief Constable Jo Farrell has written to MSPs to ask for an extra £113.4million to ensure that cops can continue to do their day job under mounting pressure thanks to large-scale events.

But the Scottish Daily Express can reveal the force is forking out £2.7m a year on filling 50 equality and diversity posts.
