In response to escalating diplomatic tensions with Turkey, Indian markets and the entertainment industry are taking decisive action against Turkish goods.

Azadpur Mandi, Asia's largest wholesale fruit and vegetable market, has announced a halt to imports of Turkish apples. Chairman Meetha Ram Kriplani confirmed that while existing orders will be honoured, no new orders will be placed, reflecting disappointment after a peak import of 116,000 tonnes in 2024.
