Driver reached over 130mph during race

A MAN who was caught reaching speeds of more than 130mph while “racing” another car has been spared jail.

Robert Kelly, 31, appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Friday, October 24.
The court heard Kelly was driving a Volkswagen Golf along 70mph limit Watkinson Way, Widnes at 9.35pm on Thursday, October 23.
Officers were travelling in an unmarked police vehicle when they spotted Kelly, who appeared to be “racing” another vehicle.
