Young golfers get tip from the top

YOUNG golfers got tips from professional Scott Currie and enjoyed an immersive fun day out at Golf Kingdom Rossendale.

Morning and afternoon sessions were held for primary pupils from 20 Rossendale schools when they tried their hand on the Squirrel’s Lair Adventure Golf and also got to have a go on the driving range.

Rossendale School Sports Partnership School games organiser Nathan Bibby arranged the event for pupils who may not have had the chance to experience the sport before.

Site manager Scott Grundy said: “We have been working with Nathan for quite a few years; from us it is about giving children in the Valley a day when they can try a new sport and engage in an activity. Scott gave them advice to get them started.
