Anger as works leaves streets in a 'dire state'

Locals on Bolton Road West in Ramsbottom were dismayed to find that pavement stones lifted by Electricity North West (ENW) had not been replaced following works outside their homes.

Further grievances were aired about temporary traffic lights, which reportedly malfunctioned several times, further disrupting traffic and leading to 'chaos!

Electricity North West responded to the concerns by clarifying that the current state of the pavement was a 'temporary reinstatement, with plans to coordinate with Bury Council for a 'permanent reinstatement.

Ramsbottom councillor Gareth Staples-Jones said he was appalled at the appearance of the pavement after the work.
