Striker arrival sets pulses racing at Dale

EXCITEMENT for the new National League season has been heightened for Rochdale supporters with the signing of Emmanuel Dieseruvwe.

The striker, who has scored 39 National League goals in the last two seasons, has penned a two-year deal at the Crown Oil Arena.
After completing his move, the 30-year-old commented: "It's been in the making for a little while now. To finally be here at the training ground with the boys is a nice feeling.
"There's been a lot of back and forth between myself and the gaffer. He's outlined his philosophy, the way he sees the game and how he sees me fitting into the team.
"With the gaffer and the core of players being here for the last two seasons, now is the time to really kick on. There are foundations in place that have been put in place, and I think this season could be a special one."
Dieseruvwe, born in Leeds, progressed through the ranks with Sheffield Wednesday before signing his first professional contract in 2013.
