Racer repairs her broken dream

TEENAGE stockcar racer's dream looked shattered when a crash destroyed her car and left her in hospital, but she finished the season on a high notching up her first win.
As Savannah Montgomery-Brown heads toward her 16th birthday in November, the petite driver will have to move up a gear from Ministox to Formula 2.
However, her sponsor has already bought her an F2 car and she is now waiting to have it specially painted - pink and white.
Savannah is currently in Year 11 studying her GCSEs at Whitworth Community High School and juggles her racing with learning.
She said: “In between races, I get my homework done, and I will be attending before and after school club intervention revision sessions, and taking a two-month break from racing when it gets closer to my GCSEs.
“My mum Davida never wanted me to race, and told me at 11 to forget it.”
