TEAM TRIBUTE ON TRACK FOR KEVIN
Retford Times
|July 10, 2025
THE station team at Retford has raised £5,000 for charity in memory of a colleague who died from cancer.
-
The group completed a 209-mile sponsored walk from Doncaster station to Retford station in memory of Kevin White who was employed to support train-travelling customers.
During his time at the station, Kevin developed lifelong friendships with his colleagues. He also worked at Newark Northgate station for more than 10 years during his time on the East Coast Main Line.
Kevin died earlier this year and during his illness, he and his family received tremendous help from Macmillan Cancer Support, and the station team challenged themselves to give something back.
