Ballon festival rethink leaves ticket holders' plans up in air

PEOPLE who have bought tickets for a hot air balloon festival are up in arms after the event was moved from Nottingham to a new location nearly 25 miles away.

Balloons and Beats had been due to take place at Wollaton Park from May 16 to 18.

It has now been switched to Thoresby Park, in north Nottinghamshire, and the dates have been changed to June 13-15, without any explanation.

Tickets were priced £15 for children aged three to 15 and adults £22, with family tickets £44 to £57.

Some who have booked are now asking for refunds since they cannot get to the different location.
