|October 31, 2025
In a scathing rebuke to I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), the Honourable Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed Vice Chancellor IKGPTU to personally file an affidavit explaining the brazen violation of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) order prohibiting new affiliations and intake increases in healthcare-related courses.
The directive came during the hearing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by social activist Amardeep Gujral, who exposed the university's alleged blatant disregard for national regulatory orders and reckless grant of new affiliations to private colleges for Allied and Healthcare degree and diploma programmes.
