Governor inspects Gaushalas, calls for regular monitoring, accountability

Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria today conducted an onsite inspection of the gaushalas and the incineration facility located in Raipur Kalan here to take stock of the arrangements made for the welfare, care and management of cattle.

The Administrator interacted with the officers and staff posted at the gaushalas and issued instructions to ensure accountability, transparency and an effective monitoring in the functioning of these facilities. Kataria directed the MC to ensure proper living conditions, feeding and hydration of the cattle housed in the gaushalas. Regarding the incinerator installed at the Raipur Kalan gaushala, the Administrator was briefed that the facility had remained temporarily nonoperational due to a technical snag, which could not be addressed immediately.
