THE saying that “South Africans are resilient” is frequently used.
Resilient means that South Africa is unstoppable.
What makes South Africans resilient, one might wonder?
Because President Cyril Ramaphosa had travelled to America to “beg” for aid and financial gain, wasn’t it him (Ramaphosa) who was made the laughing stock of the world by the entertainer of the day, the great clown of modern American and European politics, Donald Trump?
Where was the tenacity of South Africans during the apartheid-era when so many of them fled to the West or neighbouring nations like Zimbabwe, Angola, Lesotho and Eswatini in search of assistance?
