She was a pivotal figure in the labour movement. Her tireless advocacy for workers’ rights, particularly in the clothing industry, left a lasting impact on workers’ protection.
During the apartheid era, the clothing industry exploited clothing factory workers.
Thankfully, Bolton played a crucial role in organising workers, and advocating for better working conditions and benefits.
