Zack Willett struck a hat-trick as AFC Portchester dished out a thrashing to one of their Isthmian League South Central playoff rivals.

The Royals entered Saturday's home game with Hayes & Yeading occupying the final playoff spot, two points and one place above their visitors and with a game in hand.

The gap is now five points after Willett emerged as chief tormentor in a superb 5-0 On-Site Stadium success that will have fans dreaming of a second successive promotion.

Gavin Spurway's men top the South Central form table with 23 points from their last 10 fixtures - one more than leaders Leatherhead and third-placed Moneyfields.
