'Moment I'll never forget' - Faz brings chef award home to city

A family restaurant which has been a staple in the city for decades has added to its awards collection.

The Akash, in Albert Road, has been a mainstay in the city since it was opened by George Ahmed in 1978.
And now the family has celebrated bagging its latest award.
Co-owner Faz Ahmed has secured the title of Creative Chef of the Year at the annual Catering Circle Star Show Awards which took place at the Meridan Grand, London.
