WORLD KIDNEY DAY: Simple lifestyle habits can protect your kidneys

As part of World Kidney Day, observed on March 12, Polokwane healthcare professional Dr Winne Seroka explained why early screening, healthy lifestyles and regular checkups are essential for protecting kidney health.

Seroka, who practices in family medicine, said simple lifestyle habits can significantly reduce the risk of kidney complications. "Many kidney diseases can be prevented by maintaining a healthy lifestyle," she said.

She also warned against the excessive use of certain medications and traditional remedies that may harm the kidneys.
