Parking at new PH20 pool site still undecided

Parking arrangements for proposed developments at the Perth Leisure Pool site are still to be confirmed.

Last week Perth and Kinross councillors controversially voted to build Perth’s new £74 million leisure centre PH20 on one of Perth’s busiest car parks-Thimblerow.

Once PH20 opens, the plan is to demolish Perth Leisure Pool and replace it with affordable housing and Capability Scotland would be allocated the outdoor play area, grass and car park to build its new facilities.

Perth and Kinross Council has repeatedly stressed it cannot provide an indication of how many parking spaces there will be at the new Glover Street developments or where parking will be located.

Questions have also been raised about parking at the new PH20. At the June 18 meeting of Perth and Kinross Council (PKC), Conservative councillor Bob Brawn asked where customers using PH20 would park.
