UWS programme promotes lifelong learning

More than 500 people have been able to learn a new skill and improve their career prospects thanks to the University of the West of Scotland (UWS).

The university, which has a campus based in Paisley, has highlighted its commitment in helping both employers and individuals deal with the demands of the constantly changing world of work.

Most participants are already in work but want to reskill, upskill or improve their chances of career progression.

Among those who benefitted was Brian Auld, interim director of people, safety and governance at Scottish Canals, who recently completed The Strategic Manager in Paisley.
