Joker Mandron delighted at his strike pal's big move to the USA

Mikael Mandron is eyeing up half of Toyosi Olusanya's new salary — after the St Mirren striker joked about helping him achieve his American dream.

Olusanya swapped Paisley for Houston in the United States last month when the Buddies accepted a six-figure fee for the Londoner.

The 27-year-old, now with MLS side Houston Dynamo, was out of contract at the end of the season and looked certain to become a free agent but jumped at the chance of a switch across the pond which allowed Saints to cash in.

The forward had quite a career under boss Stephen Robinson.

Following a tough spell on loan at Scottish Championship side Arbroath, he knuckled down and scored some important goals among the 19 he netted and also racked up six assists in 85 appearances.

Mandron played his part with the French forward, establishing a productive partnership with Olusanya when Robbo selected the pair.
