Scotland is a massively unequal country.

A small number of people sit on more wealth than they could spend in a thousand lifetimes and meanwhile thousands of children will go to school hungry tomorrow because of poverty.

Energy bills are sky high, the weekly food shop costs close to double what it used to, and many families are living payslip to payslip.

Yet the richest two per cent in Scotland have more wealth than half of the population combined.

That inequality is at its worst when it comes to who owns our land.

About 420 people own almost half of Scotland.

This motley crew is mostly made up of aristocrats, billionaires and tax avoiders.

In some cases the owners are just holding companies in the Caribbean and we have no idea who really owns the land.
