Saints fans rue new VAR farce

The technology - yet again - overshadowed a Buddies match despite coming to the team's rescue late on in Wednesday night's 2-2 draw with Premiership table-toppers Hearts.

Referee Matthew MacDermid was in the firing line after disallowing Miguel Freckleton's second goal of the game, which would have made it 3-1, after being summoned by VAR.

The reason given to Saints was for an 'impact offside' infringement against Mark O'Hara on a Lawrence Shankland run into the box.
