St Mirren fell to a crushing 1-0 defeat after Callum McGregor scored a stunning long-shot deep into injury time after a monumental display from the Saints.

For 95 minutes, Stephen Robinson's side reduced interim manager Martin O'Neil's side to one shot on target, giving goalkeeper Shamal George an easier afternoon than expected despite the Buddies feeling aggrieved that Liam Scales' own goal was judged to have been impacted by Conor McMenamin, who was offside.

The stellar performance looked to have gained Robinson a vital point against the Champions, but McGregor bailed Glasgow's East End team out of jail when a sweetly struck left-footed shot soared past George.
