Road safety plans to be considered at busy junction after calls

Renfrewshire Council is looking into the possibility of making “much-needed” road safety improvements at a busy junction in Paisley.

The local authority has identified the need for some adjustments at the junction of Gleniffer Road, Foxbar Road and Nethercraigs Road.

A series of options have been considered after communication with members of the community and an investigation of accident records in the area.

A long list was drawn up and subsequently whittled down to a shortlist of four ideas. Following further analysis, it has since become clear the preferred choice is a signalised crossroads.
