Positive year ahead for area

I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

I hope you had time to spend with loved ones over the festive season and are now looking ahead to another year.

There is much to be positive about in 2026 as we again focus our work in important areas for communities across Renfrewshire.

From large-scale investments to supporting local communities, we will continue to invest in the places we live, learn and work to ensure we're making a real difference to our residents, our services and our local economy.

Over the next year, we will continue to prioritise investment in our school estate, to create the best possible environment for our pupils to learn.

This summer will see the opening of the new Paisley Grammar School community campus.

The new building will offer modern learning and sporting facilities not possible on the current site and will be a great asset for the wider community too.
