Positive report for primary is 'fantastic'

Kilbarchan Primary School is celebrating a positive inspection report from Education Scotland.

The school was awarded two good grades for its learning, teaching and assessment; and raising attainment and achievement.

The report praised the acting head teacher and senior leadership team for the school's nurturing and inclusive ethos. Staff are said to work collaboratively to ensure children learn in a caring and supportive environment.

Pupils were described as confident and well-mannered who actively take part in clubs and activities, developing valuable skills for learning, life and work.

The school's approach to learning through play in nursery was commended for encouraging curiosity and creativity among younger children.

Senior leaders were recognised for how they use data on children’s progress to best support their learning.
