Positive inspection for primary school

Renfrewshire councillors will be asked to celebrate a Paisley primary school at a meeting next week after it received a positive inspection report.

Elected members are expected to note the "key strengths" of St James' Primary School in Gockston Road at the education and children's services policy board on Thursday.

It comes after the facility was graded 'good' across learning, teaching and assessment as well as raising attainment and achievement in November.

A report, which will be considered at the policy board, said:"The school team at St James' Primary School, Paisley, approached the inspection in a positive manner and embraced it as a professional learning opportunity in partnership with colleagues from Education Scotland.
