New speed camera to go live

A new speed camera will be switched on next week following several collisions and the death of a 46-year-old mum who was struck by a speeding driver.

The fixed camera will begin enforcing on Barrhead Road near Silverburn shopping centre.
Police Scotland said the camera has been introduced on the westbound carriageway of the road to help reduce injury collisions in the area.
