McGregor's rocket secures Celtic an undeserved victory
St Mirren were robbed of a point on Saturday night as Callum McGregor fired home a dramatic late winner for Celtic.
The Buddies put an incredible amount into this Premier Sports Cup Final dress rehearsal but still came away empty-handed.
All that was missing from a sweat-soaked performance at the SMiSA Stadium was a goal — although Saints did have one disallowed.
There's a surprise.
But as time ticked away, Hoops skipper McGregor stepped up to bail his team out with a stunning strike into the top corner of the net.
It's now six without a win in the league for Saints who remain ninth ahead of an important trip to Dundee.
Saints boss Stephen Robinson made two changes to the team which lost 3-0 to Hibernian before the international break.
Alex Gogic returned from suspension while Conor McMenamin was handed a start. Richard King and Liam Donnelly dropped to the bench.
There were three changes to Martin O'Neill's Hoops side that demolished Kilmarnock last time out.
