Josh brings some Hollywood charm to Gleniffer Braes

Josh Magennis, who created the Hollywood style sign, spoke to the Express after international giant Google Maps recorded it as an official “landmark”.

‘The father-of-two - who has a long history of creating tifos at the SMiSA Stadium - says the sign is the result of a joke with his young daughters.

He told the Express: “It's something that me, my partner and daughters joked about for years; how funny it would be to have a Hollywood style sign on the hills of the Gleniffer Braes.

“When I saw the trees taken down [for electricity wires] I thought that was the perfect place to do it.

“I was working on another project at the time and had some spare wood that was going to the skip so I just got the sizes, cut the shape and painted it in the garden.

“My daughters, Amelia and Nina, even helped me paint it.”
