'Finale' fails to answer plot threads

I was a big fan of the original Hell House LLC film, and its sequels were always at least entertaining.

I don't know what the creative team behind this fifth instalment were thinking, though.

Not only do they drop the found-footage shooting style of previous entries, Lineage creates more questions than answers - especially bizarre given it was marketed as the series' finale - and isn't even mildly scary.

After a near-death experience, Vanessa (Elizabeth Vermilyea) endures traumatic nightmares and as mysterious deaths occur around her, she discovers her connection to the Abaddon Hotel and Carmichael Manor.
