Top of the class Rashielea Primary School received a glowing report from inspectors
A Renfrewshire primary school has received a glowing inspection report after gaining top marks in all the areas it was assessed on.
Education Scotland inspectors visited Rashielea Primary in March and spoke with parents, carers and children, while working closely with the head teacher and staff.
On a six-point scale where one is unsatisfactory and six is excellent, the Erskine school was rated as five - or ‘very good’ - in the four areas under the microscope.
During the visit, inspectors commented on areas of strength which were outlined in their report.
It noted the “very strong leadership of the head teacher and the depute head teacher promotes inclusion and equity for all children’.
‘The report added: ‘Approaches have fostered a highly inclusive, warm, nurturing ethos with positive and respectful relationships throughout the whole school community and beyond.
“Children, staff and parents have a strong sense of belonging and make valuable contributions to being part of the ‘Team Rashie’ family.
“They are very proud of their school”
