We don't expect government ministers will always get everything right all the time.

Hospital opening betrayed trust

Super hospital The QEUH opened with faulty ventilation and water systems

But we do expect them to be honest. To be transparent. To tell us the truth. The scandal over the opening of the Queen Elizabeth University (QEUH) Hospital before it was ready betrayed the trust of the public and, since then, the SNP government have been neither honest, nor transparent nor told the truth.

We now know that the water and ventilations systems in the hospital were flawed.

Now health experts have finally admitted that the flawed water system in all likelihood led to infection. Infections that may have led to deaths.

What should have been a jewel in Scotland's NHS crown was opened before it was ready because 'political pressure' was applied by the people who wanted it to appear a jewel in their political crown.
