If you've been watching the news or scrolling on social media pages in the last few days or so, you're likely to have seen or heard about a certain video that's been put out by Reform UK regarding Anas Sarwar.

- BY WEST SCOTLAND LABOUR MSP PAUL O'KANE

Group injecting poison into politics

The video shows clips of a speech Anas gave at an event celebrating 75 years since Pakistan's independence.

Before the clips play, a body of text, added by Reform, states that Anas Sarwar has said he would “prioritise the Pakistani community”.

What should be clear to anyone who has watched this video is that nothing that Anas Sarwar actually says in those clips substantiates the claim that would prioritise any community over another.

In short, Reform have told a blatant, race-baiting lie.

Remarkably, when he was challenged about the deception of the video, Nigel Farage doubled down on the message of the video and then claimed Anas Sarwar “introduced sectarianism to Scotland” - another complete and utter lie.
