Councillor remains 'deeply concerned' about HSCP finances

"Deep concern" continues to be voiced over the financial situation facing Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) as the issue was labelled the "elephant in the room" during a recent summit.

Councillors considered the ongoing work to refresh the strategic plan for the integration joint board (IJB), the body responsible for oversight of the HSCP, at Renfrewshire Council's leadership board on Wednesday.

However, the stark reality on the horizon - which has imposed a need for a vast array of savings on the organisation - was reiterated as elected members discussed a draft document.
