Paisley teenager joins Elaine CSmith and other famous names to host record-breaking lesson to promote next year's Commonwealth Games

A Paisley teenager recently played a lead role in helping to break the world record for the largest indoor bowling lesson.
Abbie Harris who plays at Ralston Bowling Club joined world and Commonwealth champions in coaching more than 100 people in the sport as part of the buildup to the Glasgow 2026 games.
Hosted by West of Scotland Indoor Bowling Club in Rutherglen, the attempt saw Abbie, world champion Stewart Anderson and Scottish Hall of Fame bowler Annette Christie oversee lessons for all ages an abilities.
The tremendous trio were joined by former Team GB basketball captain Kieron Achara MBE, double Commonwealth champion judo player Sarah Adlington and Glasgow 2026 mascot Finnie for the event, which was hosted by comedian Elaine C Smith.
