Best wishes Bishop John Keenan welcomed Father Matthew's appointment

A Paisley priest will be swapping Renfrewshire for Rome after being appointed to an important role at the Vatican.

Father Matthew Carlin, who works at St Aidan's in Johnstone and Christ the King in Howwood, has been appointed Vice-Rector of the Pontifical Scots College in Rome by the Bishops' Conference of Scotland.

It comes after The Bishops' Conference of Scotland announced the priest will be taking up the key position assisting the Rector in the formation of Scottish seminarians preparing for priestly ministry.
