Renfrewshire Council has approved an action plan that will guide the focus of its work on poverty and the cost-of-living crisis over the next two years.

The local authority has provided an overview of its Fairer Renfrewshire programme and set out strategic priorities for a period of up to 24 months.

It will concentrate on improving financial security; strengthening health, wellbeing and community; embedding equality and inclusion; and using insight and evidence for impact.

The document, which was considered at Wednesday's leadership board, explained: "This action plan sets out how we will work with partners, communities and national agencies to tackle inequality and improve outcomes for those most affected by poverty and exclusion.
