Min: Decision on OMSA doctors' demands soon

Bhubaneswar, Jan 1: Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling Thursday said the state government is examining the demands of the Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) and that efforts are under way to fulfill all reasonable demands of doctors in the coming days.
Speaking to the media, Mahaling said, “I have personally discussed with OMSA twice. We also had official discussions with the association, and our government has shown seriousness in addressing the doctors’ demands over the past 16 months. They were cheated by the previous government, but they have faith in our government.”
He further said the state government has constituted a high-level committee under the chairmanship of General Administration and Public Grievance (GA&PG) department Additional Chief Secretary to examine the demands.
