Mid small cap stocks outperform in April

April month ended well for equity markets as Nifty mid cap index emerged as the top gainer rallied 3.94 per cent, followed by a 1.69 per cent rise in the Nifty Small cap index, a new report said Saturday.

This reflects continued investor interest in midand small-cap stocks amid broader market optimism, according to data compiled by Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company.

The benchmark Nifty also delivered a strong performance, rising by 3.46 per cent for the month, while the Nifty Next 50 gained 2.32 per cent.
