With barely a few hours left for the Zero Night celebrations, the state government Tuesday directed the officials concerned to crack down on reckless driving, speeding, and traffic violations. Anticipating heavy footfall at wildlife sanctuaries and tourist hotspots, including beaches, authorities have been asked to deploy special enforcement teams at key entry and exit points. Additionally, the government has mandated that any vehicles arranged for group picnics or pilgrimages must obtain prior clearance from their respective Regional Transport Offices (RTOs).
