Attack on scribe: NHRC seeks report from DGP

Taking suo motu cognisance of the brutal assault on TV journalist Bijay Pradhan in Bolangir, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Friday has issued a notice to the Director General of Police (DGP), requesting a detailed report within two weeks.
On May 25, 2025, Pradhan was reportedly tied up and attacked by a group of people at Kulthipali village in Bolangir district while investigating alleged corruption at a construction site in the locality.
