PRIME Minister Keir Starmer' apologised to locals left waiting months for results from Nuneaton's hospital.
-
During Prime Minister's Question Time, the PM heard that residents were told they could face a five month wait to get X-ray results back from the George Eliot Hospital.
He was asked by Rachel Taylor, Bedworth and Atherstone's MP, what action the government was taking to make sure that the NHS is 'fighting fit again' after being told by local constituents that they face huge waits, one, David Wootton, for five months.
This statement led to Wes Streeting, the Secretary of state for health and social care, shaking his head in disgust.
In response, the Prime Minister said: "Can I start by saying I am sorry to hear that David her constituent, is waiting. We did take decisions at the budget to invest in the NHS and tackle waiting lists and that is to help people like David."
