New timeline reveals when demolition will end
Nuneaton News
|November 12, 2025
A new timeline has revealed when the demolition of well-known Nuneaton town centre buildings will be complete.
-
Warwickshire County Council has confirmed key information about the £24.4 million ‘Justice Walk’ development.
The project will bring a new library, office space and housing to the Church Street and Vicarage Street area. But it means demolishing some well-known buildings.
The News previously reported that the demolition works have started on the old tax office, known as Powell House, and the county council has now told us that part of the old Wilko store has also started to be torn down. In a statement, the county council said that once these two buildings have been fully demolished, attention will then turn to the old Royal Mail sorting office.
