Young dealer who used children to sell drugs on city streets is locked up

A YOUNG dealer controlled a drugs line which “used children to deal drugs” on the streets.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how Kayne Haye’s “John Boy” line sent out 885 bulk mass-marketing messages offering heroin and crack cocaine for sale.

The now 20-year-old, who was 17 when first convicted of selling Class A drugs, was caught with thousands of pounds-worth of illegal substances when officers followed and stopped a Range Rover in St Ann’s.

Now he is behind bars after being warned that if he doesn’t stop offending, the sentences “will only get longer and longer.”

Sending him to a young offenders’ institution for three years and nine months, Judge Stuart Rafferty KC said: “Sometimes it is difficult to know where to start sentencing remarks in the sense that the things I am about to say to you I have said several hundred times before to other people in your position so it is with sadness, as I am sure your family feel, I now have to send you away.
