THESE TRAVEL ESSENTIALS ARE IDEAL WHEN USING GADGETS ON HOLIDAY

What to tech on a summer break

IT’S that time of year again - right now suitcases are being dragged out of the loft and given a dust-down, packing will begin, and passports checked.

Yes, it’s summer holiday season. But don’t leave your tech out of the loop - you'll certainly need it while you're away.

Here are a few travel essentials to make sure your tech is well protected and always ready to go...

TWELVESOUTH

TwelveSouth makes a few devices for the tech-savvy that I’m not sure I could do without. It’s mostly about making sure your charging is sorted, but there's also a nifty little add-on that frequent fliers shouldn’t be without.

@ AirFly Pro 2: We're all rocking wireless earphones these days, but they become useless on the plane... unless you have an AirFly Pro 2.

This pocket marvel plugs into legacy devices - like in-flight entertainment and old audio equipment - using an old-school headphone jack.

You can then pair two Bluetooth headphones and stream your sounds wirelessly to both of them simultaneously.

It’s the only way to enjoy that all-important active noise cancellation at 32,000ft. And not have to resort to the crackle-fest of those headphones in plastic bags the airlines still leave on your seat.

@ PlugBug: Until recently I've been lugging along a set of foreign plug adapters and taking my UK plugged chargers with me when I head abroad.
