WAYNE Hennessey has announced his retirement from football.
Goalkeeper Hennessey’s playing contract at Nottingham Forest expired at the end of last month.
The Reds have been in talks with the Welshman, who made four appearances for the club after joining in 2022, about a future role in a coaching capacity.
“I have decided to bring my playing career to an end. I look back with gratitude and forward with optimism as I take the next steps on my footballing journey,” he said on Instagram.
