Superb racer is worth shelling out on

AS one of those lucky enough to have been wowed by the delights of the original Super Mario Kart when it launched in 1992, the series has long been a favourite of mine.

Now, with the launch of Mario Kart World alongside the Switch 2, I’m lucky enough to share that new experience with my wide-eyed daughter.

Mario Kart 8 had a long old life and was an impeccable racer on the WiiU and the Switch.

Topping it takes something beyond iteration, so Nintendo have given us World, building an amusement park island of interconnected race tracks that we can explore at our leisure or embark upon the series’ most chaotic, imaginative, seat-of-the-pants races yet.
